Here’s something that makes me sick: The Scott Peterson Trial. Everyone’s made a big fat deal about it, but its really no different from all the millions of murders that go on all over the place. It only get so much attention because a) They were both white. b) They were middle class. c) They were both good-looking. Another thing that pisses me off is watching TV and seeing people jumping up and down and having parties because he got sentenced to death. I don’t think joy and celebration are called for here. More like solemn-faced “He got what he deserved and we are satisfied.” I think he is quite guilty and deserving of punishment, but the kind of media coverage he got was 10 billion times too much.
