For some, this movie was enjoyable just because it's funny to watch a complete and total dork live his life in a dorky way. But I definitly agree that this movie was much more. It was a character study, there was little to no plot, it just shows how these people cope with different situations. Most movies like this have no appeal to the less insightful viewers, ("The Station Agent" is another fine example of a plotless character study, but it was still a good movie) but this one had the element of humor involved as well, which created attraction to those few who are usually excluded from enjoying this genre.

As far as I'm concerned, I think it was one of the most brilliant movies of the year, the way it took such an immature idea, and executed it in such a mature way. This movie wasn't dumb, even though the characters in it may have been. It doesn't even tell a story, it just shows the lives of these rich characters.
