I was wandering around Barnes and Nobles this morning by myself, in the sexuality section. I started flipping through this book and i saw that one in three men cheat on his partner and only one in four women do. It is interesting to me that men and women act so much differently than each other. Allegedly men, when they are working on something, use a lot of their brain to do one thing, but women use smaller parts but multitask. Weird. Is there some kind of primeval reason for this difference in the way that our minds work.
Another interesting fact that i have recently found out is that testosterone is what makes people horny. So a very easily aroused girl, in fact, just has a lot of testosterone. It makes sense in a strange way. Both mails and females have testosterone and estrogen, but what does estrogen do for males? Make them gossip?
Men lose their virginity at a younger age than females do. Is it because they reach the stage in their development where they want to become sexually active but don’t have the maturity and intelligence to keep themselves out of trouble, or is it because men get around to a lot of women (very unlikely, i think). It is mostly likely caused by mens single mindedness about sex. If you are always thinking about it and then an opportunity arises to shag what are you going to do? Make waist of all those hours alone? But what if you hardly ever think about it, then when someone proposes a toast, or such, to you you will be surprised and probably veto the idea.
Men and women will never understand each other, but if either of them ever figures out the other first i think would be women figuring out men, they read Cosmo (They know everything).

I believe Men and Women are more alike then they realize. The difference, lies in how society raises Men versus Women. For every horny young man, there is always one horny young woman to go along with that. The sexes have trouble understanding eachother because oppisites attract. Not all men think with their lower extremities, and some women are horny all the time, so it is a personal not generally. Alot of it is society, society expects young boys to be open about their sexuality, while women are raised to keep that talk in the bedroom. ITs being in the attention they crave. In conclusion, men and women aren’t all that different, society separates the sexes more then anything else.

Has anyone seen the movie Kinsey? It’s true story about a scientist/psychologist in the late sixties early seventies who does a nation-wide study on sex. It’s a fantastic look at the human sexuality. The best part of the movie was the fact that it was during a time when sex was beginning to become a less sensitive topic. Before that time sex was thought of as something that should stay in the bedroom. Of course Kinsey’s father is a minister played by John Lithgow, so there’s plenty of tension between the two of them.
The reason men are (generally) more horny than girls is the same reason why men were always the ones who went to war while the women stayed home and gathered food or tended for children. A tribe of people will only ever need one man, as long as that man wants to have lots of sex. So the men who wanted to have lots of sex were the ones that reproduced, while the ones who were less concerned about it went to war and died. Women on the other hand were often forced to have sex, so whether or not they desired it, they very well might still get to reproduce.
One of the things that really gets me is religion’s outlook on sex. We are biologically programmed to desire it, and yet they tell us we must abstain until marriage? We’re also biologically programmed to desire food, but they don’t make us wait until we’re starving to eat.

I’ve never really had any strong urge to do it myself. I believe Kinsey concluded that we are all very different when it comes to sex. Everybody wanted him to tell them they were “normal” but as people became more and more honest about their sex lives, he saw that there wasn’t really any normalcy.
As for abstinence, I think it’s just another creation of fear (as God was created to help those who fear death), abstinence was encouraged to protect people from broken hearts? I understand how it’s important for kids to focus on other things, like school, but to tell them God will smite them for touching each other is just sick, and ultimately more damaging than helpful, I’m sure.

First off if your going to have sex with someone, make sure they are someone you wouldn’t mind spending a lot of time w/ later on down the road…assuming things don’t go as planned. Every decision you make helps determine your future. You have to reap what you sow. In other words take the time to think things through…b/c the last thing you want is to end up with a bad investment.
